Kutch Work

I purposely stitched this for doing some embroidery work. But I don't have the idea of what to do on it. And finally I decided to try my hands on kutch work. I followed the tutorial given in Bhavani's blog. This is my first attempt on kutch work and I liked it very much. I used 2 strands, anchor thread and I really don't know is there any special thread available for this.

Decoupage

In this post I am sharing my sister's work.This is called as Decoupage and it can be done in pot and wooden board also. My sister is very much interested in arts and crafts. She has worked as a Arts and crafts teacher in Coimbatore Cultural Academy and she has even taken classes in Coimbatore before her marriage. I would say this as one of her master pieces. She is very good in making soft toys also and most of the toys were given as gifts to our friends and relatives. She is my inspiration also.

Love Birds

When I was going through some blogs, I came across this Love Birds from Vinney's blog. She has given this chart for free and I tried this 2 days back. I don't know what to do with this. But as I liked it very much, I gave a try.

Flowers in Uruli

After a very long interval, I am here. I was bit busy with my office tensions. And now I am free and getting ready for few posts.

My sister bought this Uruli for arranging flowers. And I decorated it with fevicryl colors. I painted this with "Pearl Metallic copper" color and for the sides I used 3D outliner. Few kundan stones are sticked on the top. And the flowers from my garden are smiling inside.

Cutie pie doily

This is my first doily and I am very happy that it has come out well. My mom liked this very much. I have to tell something at this time, I completed this doily successfully with the help of the one sent by Ninu to me. So She is my virtual teacher. I took nearly 3 weeks to complete this.

Starting with Lord vinayaga

I bought this kit and worked on it few years back and kept it without framing. Yesterday while I was arranging the things in my wardrobe I found this. This is my first long stitch kit and now I have given it for framing.

I won, I won….

Last month Ninu announced a give away for completing her 100 posts in her blog. I participated and I am very happy to tell that I am the winner. This is my first prize and I am sooooo excited when I came to know that I won the give away. I shouted with joy in my office and shared this with all my colleagues.
