Kutch work on kurta

This time I have worked on the kura which I have already posted. As I felt it was too plain, I added few more motifs to the kurta and the outcome is really good.

Cross stitch on kurta

When I was surfing the net, I came across Chitra's blog with so many embroidery designs. Her blog is simply superb that I cannot resist myself and immediately  started this work. Here is the link to her page. I reproduced this pattern by copying on graph sheet then cross stitched the pattern. To my surprise the design has come out well.

Churidhar

This is my first attempt of stitching an entire set of churidhar. Previously I have stitched two kurtas for rough use with the help of my neighbor. This material had a border, but as it was in black color I have used the bottom material for the sleeves and the slits. The finishing is not perfect, but I can adjust as it is stitched by me.

Cute Kitten

I used to do embroidery during my school days and I did not continue it because of my studies and work tensions. Now I am very happy about this work. I stitched up a cute kitten pattern from doe c doe and the pattern is here.

Cross stitch - Table cloth

Table cloth with cross stitch designs. I have stitched border for all the four directions, girl with a flower basket in the center of the cloth and flower designs in the three corners. One corner is pending and I am in search of a design to fill.

Kutch Work

I purposely stitched this for doing some embroidery work. But I don't have the idea of what to do on it. And finally I decided to try my hands on kutch work. I followed the tutorial given in Bhavani's blog. This is my first attempt on kutch work and I liked it very much. I used 2 strands, anchor thread and I really don't know is there any special thread available for this.

Decoupage

In this post I am sharing my sister's work.This is called as Decoupage and it can be done in pot and wooden board also. My sister is very much interested in arts and crafts. She has worked as a Arts and crafts teacher in Coimbatore Cultural Academy and she has even taken classes in Coimbatore before her marriage. I would say this as one of her master pieces. She is very good in making soft toys also and most of the toys were given as gifts to our friends and relatives. She is my inspiration also.
